Background and Professional Info

Dating back to my school days, I always had an affinity towards chemistry. The study of change always intrigued me and caught my attention. I enrolled in Rutgers University, School of Engineering in 2009 with a major in Chemical Engineering. During my time at Rutgers, I held several positions in Business Administration for various small companies in the South Jersey region. I also participated in a multitude of extracurricular activities to stay engaged with the Rutgers community. Upon graduating in May of 2014, I created the startup HotHaat Marketplace. When HotHaat Marketplace was stable enough during Q2 of 2015, I left to pursue a career in the Chemical Industry, where I have gained a wide breadth of experience and knowledge, particularly with the Pharmaceutical Industry, in my short time with Johnson Matthey.

Work experience
Production Technician, Johnson Matthey

2015-Present​

  • Worked with Production Engineering to improve batch records to ensure daily production schedules are met

  • Utilized Emerson DeltaV and Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers(PLCs) to ensure batches operated within critical process parameters

  • Made continuous improvements to the Platinum Recovery Intensification Unit, which resulted in increased yield and decreased downtime

  • Created and revised cGMP documents such as Batch Records, Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs), Production Work Instructions(PWIs), Process Flow Diagrams(PFDs), and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams(P&IDs)

  • Completed and peer reviewed Safe Work Permits(SWP) and Lock Out Tag Out(LOTO) permits

  • Updated and maintained cGMP documentation with MasterControl documentation system

  • Created and maintained maintenance requests within Regulatory Asset Manager(RAM)

  • Conducted Job Safety Analyses(JSA) and Pre Startup Safety Reviews(PSSRs) to ensure safe working conditions

  • Performed Root Cause Analyses(RCA) utilizing 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagrams

  • Active member of the facility's Emergency Response Team(ERT)

    • Created a "Manning Board" to assign Technicians to a specific ERT role prior to the beginning of each shift, reducing response time​
